FRRFC attends NATPE (National Association of Television Program Executives), the world’s largest TV content market

01.18.2012

Filme Rio – Rio Film Commission president, Steve Solot, will attend the 49th NATPE, the world’s largest TV content market, which this year takes place at Miami Beach’s Fontainebleau Resort, January 23 through 25. Five thousand executives from 70 different countries are expected at the event. The idea is that formal and informal deals will be made from a growing network of producers from all over the world.

Solot will be the only ABPI-TV (Association of Independent Brazilian TV Producers) representative in attendance. His goal is to attract other executives to the upcoming RioContentMarket, Latin America’s largest audiovisual multi-platform content event, which takes place in the Barra da Tijuca district of Rio de Janeiro between February 29 and March 2.

“The huge concentration of global TV production, acquistion and distribution executives in NATPE offers a perfect opportunity to present the RioContentMarket, which will take place 5 weeks later. The timing is excellent. NATPE also offers the possibility of presenting the Rio Film Commission as the primary resource for location shooting of all content and media formats in the city and state of Rio de Janeiro”.
