ABPI-TV (Brazilian Association of Television Independent Producers) is an organization without financial interests that represents independent TV production companies. The ABPITV, founded in 1999, aims to find new markets inside and outside of Brazil, to promote the selling of audio-visual works and defend the authorial rights of the associate.
The ABRAFIC (Brazilian Film Commissions Alliance) was created during the 39th edition of the Brazilian Film Festival in Brasília in 2006. Today it already joins over 19 Film Commissions in the country. Its mission is to support the economical and partnership development of tourism and the Brazilian audio-visual area by increasing the Film Commissions in the country.
The ANCINE (National Cinema Agency) is an official organ for the promotion, regulation and control of movie industry in Brazil. Its main aims are to stimulate the participation of national productions in the foreign market, support the technical development of the sector and the formation of human resources and to promote the combat against audiovisual piracy. The agency was created in 2001. The independent, administrative and financial organ is associated with Ministry of Culture in 2003.
The municipal district of Armação dos Búzios signed the cooperation agreement with the Filme Rio - Rio Film Commission.
The municipal district of Barra do Piraí, at the Vale do Café, is the first in the state to sign the cooperation agreement with the Filme Rio - Rio Film Commission.
BTVP (Brazilian TV Producers) is a audio-visual content program for exportation and is organized by the ABPI-TV (Associação Brasileira de Produtoras Independentes de Televisão) together with the audio-visual secretary of the Ministry of Culture and ApexBrasil (Agency for Promotion of Brazilian Exportation and Investment). BTVP was created in 2004 and promotes independent audio-visual productions outside of Brazil, organizing possible partnerships between Brazilian and foreign companies.
The Federação de Convention & Visitors Bureaux of Rio de Janeiro was created by groups which work with “Convention & Visitors Bureaux” in the state. One of its main activities is to represent and promote its members in all divisions of the area.
The Rio festival was created in 1999 and arose from two big festivals: Rio Cine Festival and Mostra Banco Nacional de Cinema. Today it is the most important festival and it shows over 300 films every year.
The brazilian Ministry of Culture is responsible for the cultivation, promotion and generation in any kind of way to express the national culture, beyond administrating the historical, archaeological, cultural and artistic family estate of Brazil.
The municipal district of Nova Friburgo signed the cooperation agreement with the Filme Rio - Rio Film Commission.

The Rio Convention & Visitors Bureau was founded in 1984 and arose out of a project which united the private sector and the authorities of the government responsible for the touristic area. It has no financial interests and aims to promote all types of touristic activities as congresses, conventions and events for the city of Rio de Janeiro.
The RioMarket is the business department of the Festival do Rio. It joins directors, producers, distributers, sales agents and other professionals of the audio-visual area at seminars, workshops and business meetings during the event.
The RIOTUR (Empresa de Turismo do Município do Rio de Janeiro) is part of the Special Tourist Secretary of Rio de Janeiro. Its funciton is to attract tourist and visitors to come to Rio de Janeiro, following the schedule of the Secretary.
The TurisRio is a state company linked with the Secretary of Tourism, Sports and Leisure and it is responsible for the tourist policy of the government of Rio de Janeiro. Its main aim is to promote tourism according to the Director Plan of Tourism and to the social and economic development of the State. The company was founded in 1960 with the name FLUMITUR. Today TurisRio is a mixed economical society.
