Meeting strengthens ties of Latin American film commissions

As part of the Ventana Sur festival, in Buenos Aires, the Latin America Film Commission Network met in the morning of Saturday, December 3rd. The event – which had previous editions in Florianópolis and São Paulo – aims at strengthening ties between Film Commissions of neighboring countries. At the time, the organizations signed an MoU establishing common goals.
Participants included Filme Rio-Rio Film Commission president Steve Solot, Ana Aizenberg (Buenos Aires Film Commissions), Alexa Muñoz (Mexico DF Film Commission), Lucila Bortagaray (Uruguay Film Commission), João Roni (Abrafic), Eder Mazini (São Paulo), Alessandra Pastore (Bahia Film Commission) and Rodrigo Ardiles (Lacustre Film Commission of Chile).
”We want to find a way to legalize this organization and set up a communications strategy with the rest of the world”, explains Ana Aizenberg, one of the event’s organizers.
