FRRFC-supported 'Assim Como Ela' will premiere in New York festival
Assim como ela, a short directed by Flora Diegues, has been selected for the ninth edition of Cine Fest Petrobras Brasil-Nova York. The picture was supported by Filme Rio-Rio Film Commission and will premiere June 13 at Tribeca Cinemas, in New York.
Starring Deborah Secco, Assim como ela portrays a famous actress’s existential crisis, which is closely observed by one of her fans. The cast includes Luiza Yabrudi, Remo Trajano and Eduardo Rios. Flora Diegues, Ana Carolina Lopes and André Milenik share writing credits. The film has been produced by Carlos Eduardo Valinoti and Flora Diegues.
Cine Fest Petrobras Brasil-Nova York takes place from June 12 to 19 and will showcase 14 shorts that are still unreleased in the international market. The festival is curated by Circuito Inffinito de Festivais.
